Webb4 sep. 2024 · Protein-protein interactions are significant for many biological processes. Identifying the residues on the interface is the first step to understand it at the structural level. However, accurate computational prediction of interacting residue pairs in protein-protein complexes is a challenged task. Then, we split the complex into two pieces, one for each chain. Next, we calculate the chain-only surface area. Lastly, we take the difference between the comeplex-based areas and the chain-only-based areas.
