Using histopathological examination and spectrophotometry, our results showed that iron supplementation at 6000 feet altitude induced severe congestion, emphysema, and inflammatory cell infiltration to lung tissues.

Trolox alleviated the lung histological impairments, significantly decreased the pro-inflammatory cytokines, and restored the oxidative stress markers.
